Origin/History: Bromeliaceae. About 2,800 species exist, all but one species native to mild-winter regions of North and South America. Some are native to Florida.
Water: It is often times sufficient to water your bromeliad once a week.
Soil: Feed the plants with a half strength fertilizer every month in the growing season. Water needs are easily met by filling the cup at the base of the leaves.
